She was predeceased by: her husband Cornelius Van Engelen; her siblings, Toon Klerx, Kees Klerx, Cornelius Klerx, Marie Klerx, Lena Peijnenborgh, Sjaan Boom, Ann of Vaan and Helena Klerx; and her parents, Johanna Klerx and Johannes Klerx.
She is survived by: her children, Johanna Van Engelen (Scott Ross), Marilyn Loewen (Darren), Leo Van Engelen of Calgary, AB, John Van Engelen (Cori) of Calgary, AB and Barry Van Engelen (Cathy) of Calgary, AB; her grandchildren, Stacey Hunter (Larry), Corey Van Engelen (Celestine), Chelsea Taylor (Josh), Katelynn Van Engelen (Daniel), Courtney Van Engelen, Kyle Van Engelen (Gabrielle), Shelby Van Engelen (Weston), Ryan Loewen (Meagan) and Tyson Loewen (Emma); and her great grandchildren, Rori Hunter, Makayla Hunter, Jacob Taylor, Aiden Taylor, Emilia Van Engelen, Dezi Van Engelen and Nora Van Engelen.
