Beverley Medhurst Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce Bev's peaceful passing on Jan. 5, 2022 at the age of 84 years with her family by her side. She will forever live on in our hearts. Bev was born on July 22, 1937 to Tom & Thelma Lynch in Calgary where she was raised & attended St. Mary's Girls School. She developed many lifelong friendships. She met and married Larry when he finally agreed to take dance lessons. They were married in Oct 1957, having celebrated Sixty-Four years of marriage in October, 2021. They moved into Fairview where they've lived & raised their family for 60+ years. The family enjoyed summers camping in Idaho, B.C. & Alberta. Bev thoroughly enjoyed being a hockey wife and Mom, organizing many events, and volunteering with the Fairview Ladies Auxiliary. Bev also enjoyed years cheering on the Flames, Stampeders & Hitmen, she was lucky enough to go to a few Grey Cup games as well.
Bev leaves behind her loving family: husband Larry, children: Carey, Doug, Tammy & Marty as well as two grandchildren Tyson and Sarah and a special great niece Shalayne. Bev was predeceased by her parents Tom & Thelma Lynch, brother Bud & wife Ethel Lynch, brother Mike & wife Darlene Lynch, as well as sister-in-law & husband Charlene Adamson (Medhurst) & Cleve Adamson. Bev is survived by Larry's brothers: Wayne (Marianne) of Calgary, Jim (Doris) of Ontario, Bill (Bonnie) of Medicine Hat, and Bob (Emily) of Quesnel, BC. Bev leaves behind many nieces, nephews & extended family as well many dear friends. Bev's family would like to extend many warm thanks to the staff on the Fairview unit at the Southwood Care Centre for their caring, love, compassion & kindness shown to Bev & her family over her six months in their care.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, when Covid allows for us all to get together. She will always be in our hearts.
