It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bob Church (Calgary, Alberta), who passed away on September 6, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gina; his stepchildren, Paul (Shannon) and Kathy (Stacey); and his stepgrandchildren, Taneisha and Tyrese.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly the Hotchkiss Brain Institute's Stroke research program or to the "Robert B. Church Legacy of Leadership Fund".

“Loved Bob. So many stories! At my first Calgary Stampede as Mayor he was President and organized a cow milking contest as a media event and I was invited to compete. Bob knew I had grown up on a farm. But always the prankster, he also gave me a super fresh cow. Needless to say, while the second place media finisher had 4 mm in a beaker after 2 minutes of milking, I won with 3/4 of a pail! Bob joked that he just wanted to cement my 'rural' credentials. Wonderful man, huge contribution!”
