He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth "Betty" Gilchrist and John "Jack" Gilchrist; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Gilchrist. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Wheeler-Gilchrist; his daughters, Katelin (Phil Mitchell) and Theresa (Niall Oddie); his grandchildren, Nia, Kaleah Mitchell, Connor and Meredith Oddie; his brother Alan of Llanwrtyd Wells; his niece Emma; and his family Dr. Sarna.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Tom Szabo, his family physician, Dr. Sarna, his neurologist, and other doctors, who assisted the family through Bob's fight with Parkinson's and cancer.
