We announce the death of Burnette Mary Wilson (Calgary, Alberta), born in Lethbridge, Alberta, who passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 95. Burnette will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Burnette will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Burnette will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Burnette’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Wilson (Ted); and her sister Maureen Gagnon. She is survived by: her children, Kathie (Mario), Ted (Kathleen), Lynne (Simon), Susan (Blair) and William (Lisa); and her grandchildren, Jill (Justin), Hayley (Elliott) and Daryl. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Gerard's Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Dr SW, Calgary, AB T2V1L2).
