He is survived by: his spouse Sheron Schacher of Chestermere; his children, Jodee Schacher (Brian Goodale) of Chestermere and Jeff Schacher (Jasmine Schacher) of Cochrane; his grandchildren, Isabelle Georgsen (Justin), Emily Bilinski (Jon), Jake Schacher and Ivy Schacher; and his brother Murray Schacher.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the Calgary Children's Hospital or STARS.
