Charles Cheltenham Obituary
Charles Cheltenham was born in St Michael Barbados and passed away peacefully at the age of 71 years in Calgary Alberta. Over the past couple of years, Charles bravely faced a number of medical setbacks with his usual optimism. He is now no longer suffering and is at peace and home with his Lord in heaven.
Charles is survived by his wife of 26 years, Laurel; his son, Keenan; his sister, Vida; as well as his in-laws, Todd and Mandy Shelvey and Tim Shelvey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends who will cherish his memory.
Charles will be remembered for his unwavering faith, sense of fun, and generous spirit. His listening ears and wise mentoring guided many, while his collection of suits and ties and his passion for exotic cars were reflections of his unique personality. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the joyful moments shared.
He will be deeply missed by his family, close friends, and acquaintances. His kindness, wisdom, and warmth touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and his positive impact will live on in many lives.
We extend our deep gratitude and appreciation to the doctors and staff at the Peter Lougheed Centre for their exceptional care and kindness over the past four months. We also want to thank the staff at Foothills Medical Centre and the Fanning Centre for their support during the time Charles spent there. Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone from near and far for their support, kind gestures, and prayers for Charles and his family.
