It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher James Hanlie of Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on January 8, 2023, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his uncle Karl; his mother Carol; his grandparents, Berthold and Margaret; his father Dale; and his grandmother Catherine.

He is survived by: his wife Lorilyn Hanlie; his uncle Donald; his daughters, Michelle and Jennifer; his brothers-in-law, Christopher, Eric and Paolo Mobe; his nephews-in-law, Zian and Cj Mobe; his aunt Maria Seiler-Huizing; his uncle Frank Huizing; his cousins, Erik (Danielle Robertson), Anne-Marie, Jennifer (Vincent) and Korney (Jada); his uncle Robert M. Seiler; his aunt Tamara P. Seiler; and his children, Tanya Palmer, James Maciukenas (Harper) and Mark Palmer.

From 2017 to 2021 he worked as an Adult Care Worker at the Calgary Drop In and Rehab Centre Society, trying to make a positive contribution to society.
