He is survived by: his children, Taryn Smith (Ryan) of Fort Saskatchewan and Blair Thompson of Fort Saskatchewan; his granddaughter Sloan Smith; and his brothers, Stephen Thompson of Ottawa and Michael Thompson of Calgary.
