He was predeceased by: his father John Swirles; and his stepfather Gary McNeill. He is survived by: his daughters, Kristin Swirles of Edmonton and Jennifer Swirles of Golden; his mother Beryl McNeill; his siblings, Karen (Maurice Dery), Julie (Bruce McOuat), Brad (Jan McNeill) and Lenor (Craig Robertson); and also, Tim, Honza, Tammy Scott, Jordan, Jillian Dery, Michelle, Bryan Hynes, Chad, Chantelle McOuat, Brett, Jessica McOuat, Stephanie, Mike Wishart, Mackenzie Robertson (Eric) and Declan Robertson. He is also survived by many siblings, cousins and extended family.
