He was predeceased by: his wife Alvira Annie Boschmann; his siblings, Bernard, Ed, Dick, Elsie and Elma; and his parents, Dietrich David and Anna Neufeld Boschmann.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael, Patrick and Kim; and his sisters, Margaret, Linda, Hilda and Elvera.

He and Alvira decided to move to the Masterpiece retirement facility in Medicine Hat in 2019, just in time for the COVID lockdown.

Additional memorial trees will be planted through Canadian conservation and reforestation initiatives, as a result of memorial contributions.
