He is survived by: his wife Julie Johnston; his children, David Johnston of Nelson, BC and Susan Johnston (Scott Bojarski) of Vancouver, BC; his grandchildren, Alba and Atticus Bojarski of Vancouver, BC; his godchildren, Zion and Mina Lancaster of Calgary, AB; his sisters, Carol Atchison (Ernie) of Calgary, AB, Gwendalynn Martinson (Cliff) of Powell River, BC, Judith Grexton (Keith) of Grandview, MB, Leslie Cagnoni (Reg) of Kelowna, BC and Donna Rideout (Gary) of Calgary, AB; and his extended family, Young, Rice, Terlesky, Edwige, Olivier, Benjamin Léger (France) and Peter Mmbando. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Carriage House Hotel and Conference Centre (9030 Macleod Trl SW, Calgary, AB T2H2Z5).
