We announce the death of David MacDonald in Calgary, Alberta, born in Chatham, New Brunswick, who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 62. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. David will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. David’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy MacDonald; his sons, Alexander MacDonald and Brendan MacDonald (Kaitlin); his grandchildren, Blake, Bennett and Avery; and his siblings, Sandra, Kathryn and Stephen.
Additional memorial trees will be planted through Canadian conservation and reforestation initiatives, as a result of memorial contributions.
