It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Alan Smelski of Calgary, Alberta, born in Dauphin, Manitoba, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Alex Smelski; and his sister Verna Smelski (Kevin Peters). He is survived by: his close friend Mabel Torres; his children, Gabriel, Alekzander and Ariel; his stepsons, Will and Jason (Dawnelle); his grandchildren, Brianna and Saiya; his mother Josephine Smelski; his siblings, Ray (Jeanette), Ken (Helen) and Darlene Peters; and his nephew Jared Smelski. He is also survived by numerous cousins and other family and friends.
