He was predeceased by: his grandfather Dan Haan; his father-in-law Vincent MacDonald; his great-aunt Irene Walberg; and his cousin Shawn Walberg. He is survived by: his wife Josie; his parents, David and Jody; his siblings, Emily, Ryan, Daniel, Courtney, Mirtalem, Biniyam and Liyu; and his grandparents, Jim and Marilyn Vriend. He is also survived by his many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Viewing was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Evan J. Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 St NE, Calgary, AB T2E6P4). A memorial service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Southview Alliance Church (20200 Walden Blvd SE, Calgary, AB T2X0N4).
