He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Alexander and Ella Alexander; and his sisters, Wendy Saunders and Diana Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his son Jeff Alexander (Jodi); his grandchildren, Hayden and Beckham; his daughter Deborah McDonald (Patrick); his grandchildren, Berkley and Palmer; and his brother Gerald Alexander.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Chapel) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4). A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Lounge) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4).
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to the Hockey Alberta Foundation in Don's honour, helping support the next generation of young hockey players and officials.
