He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Horwood. He is survived by: his girlfriend Lori; his children, Sara Kristine Andersen of Calgary, AB and Brian Horwood; his sisters, Kathy Chu (Kevin) of Port Moody, BC and Brenda Lays (Graham) of Bind Bay, BC; his mother Alison Horwood of Vancouver, BC.; his family Judith Taylor (Reg); and his half-sisters, Susan May Bleile and DeAnna Lee Maleseyn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Additional memorial trees will be planted through Canadian conservation and reforestation initiatives, as a result of memorial contributions.
