She was predeceased by: her close friend George; her brother Jack; and her nephew Rick. She is survived by: her daughter Margaret (Martin); her grandchildren, Lindsey (Ian) and Paul; her great grandchildren, Nora and Owen; her sisters, Frances (Rob) and Lynn (Norm); and her siblings' children, Scott, Micheal, Jay, Glen, Allyson, Lisa and Lori.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that a donation be made to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation on behalf of Dorothy.
