With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Hitomi Morishita of Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on May 25, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Masae Patricia Tamura and Norito Norman Morishita; his brother Larry; and his son Daryl. He is survived by: his wife Winnie; his children, Nancy (Jesse), Lorna (Troy), Tammy (Harry), Barry (Jeanne) and Brad (Donna); his daughter-in-law Anita; his grandchildren, Marissa (Tyler), Katelyn, Melissa (CJ), Micheal (Miranda), Damon, Landen (Kalin), Garett (Brianna), Kyle (Ruthie), Taylor, Brent, Angelina and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Curtis, Carter, Cayson, Brooklyn, Parker and LeRoy; his siblings, Norma (Joe), Carol, Pat and Terry (Maureen); and his aunt Nancy Kondo.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the South Calgary Funeral Centre and Crematorium (12700 Macleod Trl SE, Calgary, AB T2J7E5).
