Ed Derworiz Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on May 8, 2026, at the age of 90, Ed Derworiz of Calgary, Alberta, born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Ed may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Derworiz and Mary Derworiz; his siblings, David Derworiz and Olga Hill; and his stepdaughter Cecelia Derworiz.

He is survived by: his daughter Deidre Derworiz (Robert Jessop) of Canmore, AB; and his stepchildren, Darwin Schulz of Calgary, AB and Lisa Schulz of Edmonton, AB. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, and wonderful friends.

The family has chosen to send donations to Alzheimer Society of Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
