It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Tasker Beattie of Calgary, Alberta, born in Newton, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Herbert Beattie; his stepfather Roy Pearson; and his former wife Dana Karlin. He is survived by: his wife Anita Zarn; his mother Cynthia Beattie Pearson; his daughters, Laura and Carolyn (Cara); his sons-in-law, Aaron Mankekar and Xavier Aristu; his stepmother Mary Ellen Sommer; his siblings, David and Ellen Beattie; his granddaughter Julianna Beattie Aristu; and his siblings' children, Carla, Alex La Rotta, Ursula, Althea, Miles and Remy Beattie.
