He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Meyer and Wilma Meyer; and his half-brother Klaus Heimann. He is survived by: his son Bryce Meyer (Tara) of Calgary; his brother Ralph Meyer (Linda) of Innsfail; his sister-in-law Laura Heimann of Calgary; and his pet Kane. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
