We are sad to announce that on December 5, 2022, Elfriede Holtkamp of Calgary, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Herman W. R. Holtkamp; her parents, Rebekka Schweikert and Samuel Strohschein; and her sisters, Alma Renz (Strohschein) and Isolde Lahring (Strohshein).

She is survived by: her daughter Jutta Holtkamp Rogan; her son-in-law Ian J. Rogan; her sister Hannelore Ponto (Strohschein); and her nieces and nephews, Loretta Kukkonen (Ponto), Peggy Schokat (Ponto), Deborah Renz [Zirnite], Wilfred Lahring, Heinjo Lahring, John Ponto, Nelson Renz and Ronald Renz.

She accomplished much throughout her life and was particularly proud of her Women of Inspiration Lifetime Achievement award in 2019 for her contribution to preserving and promoting the art of couture sewing in Canada.
