She was predeceased by: her husband Alfonso Cuilao; her sister Delores Tomas; her parents, Oliva Piedad and Castor Enriquez; and her stepfather Filipe Piedad.
She is survived by: her daughters, Alma Cuilao-Cortez (Fred) of Edmonton and Alice McGunigal (Rory) of Calgary; her grandchildren, Grace, Campbell, Emerson and Elena; her siblings, Corazon (Pido), Arsenia (Adelio), Carmen (Raymundo), Yolanda (Emilio), Emelda, Filipe Jr. (Mabel) of Calgary and Roberto (Lita) of Calgary; and her sisters-in-law, Florence and Ligaya of New Jersey, USA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home (12281 40 St SE, Calgary, AB T2Z4E6). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St Albert the Great Catholic Church (10 Prestwick Dr SE, Calgary, AB T2Z4J6).
Additional memorial trees will be planted through Canadian conservation and reforestation initiatives, as a result of memorial contributions.
