She was predeceased by : her husband Lorne Shane; her parents, Luke Murphy and Clara Murphy (Myrfield); her siblings, Claude Murphy (Peggy), June Snell (Florence), Jim Murphy (Helen), Irma Johns (Bill), Claire Murphy, Jack Murphy and Dorothy Rampur; and her brother-in-law Henry Dewart.

She is survived by : her sister Della Dewart; her daughters, Sharon Shane (Paul), Lorna Shane and Kait Shane (Doug); and her grandchildren, Liam Matthews, Claire Shiminsky and Kyra Greif. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Rd SE, Calgary, AB T2X3J3).
