He was predeceased by: his son Donald Gregory Goranson (Greg). He is survived by: his wife Doris; his daughters, Diane (Fred) and Darlene (Karl); his grandchildren, Richard, Brittany (Justin), Amanda (Eric), Kurtis and Haley; and his great grandchildren, Kelsea, Easton, Silas, Olivia and Axel. He is also survived by family flourished with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
