He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Sharon Osterling (Mike), Eric Schmelzl (Elaine), Frank Schmelzl and Christine Hay (Bruce); his grandchildren, Nicole Fairbrother (Darcy), Elyse Schaub (Kyle), Geoffrey Schmelzl (Minja), Bryce Hay, Adam Osterling and Ian Hay; and his great grandchildren, Mia Fairbrother, Everett Fairbrother and Sena Schaub.
