He was predeceased by: his siblings, Giuseppina, Immacolata, Rafaele and Tommaso; and his son-in-law Marco Abdi.

He is survived by: his children, Giacomo and Filomena Abdi; and his grandchildren, Madina, Khadija, Angela, Maurizio, Karissa, Sofia and Gabriel. He is also survived by numerous relatives, including cousins, nieces, and nephews.

If so desired, memorial donations in Gabriele's name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, #200, 119 14 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 https://www.heartandstroke.ca Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary Mother of The Redeemer Catholic Parish (1714 - 14 Avenue NE, Calgary) on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior at 10:00 a.m.
