He is survived by: his children, Trayr Gabert (Kari-Lynn) and Trelaine Robanske (Wally); his grandson Ethan Robanske; his siblings, Ryan Gabert (Carole), Warren Gabert (Caroline) and Wendy Clark (Riley); his sisters-in-law, Sandra Reay (Gordon) and Myrna Sorenson (Bill); his wife Mavis; his parents, Eunice Gabert and Adolph Gabert; Archie Malcolm and Bertha Malcolm. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted by Gene's favourite charities: Bethany Lutheran Church and The MS Society of Edmonton.
