He was predeceased by: his wife Jenny Reurink; his siblings, Beppie Wiersma (Bill), Mieke Breemer (Pete), Alice, Hank and Peter; his nieces, Susan Bosgra and Terri Thiessen; his nephew Randy Reurink; and also Jenny.

He is survived by: his children, Elly Thomas (Darcey), John Reurink and Donna White (Dave); his grandchildren, Heather, Alyssa, Kayla (Curtis) and Matthew; his great grandchild Aniessa of Calgary; his siblings, Mary Donkersgoed (Tymen), Dinie Oldenburger (Leo), Rita Turnbull (Frank), Jenny Havinga (Bill) and John Reurink (Leone); and his siblings-in-law, Ted Bosgra, Stiena and Lorna Reurink. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
