He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Mathews and Violet; and his brothers, Roger (Terry) and Deepak. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Mathews; his children, Shane Mathews (Cari), Larissa Seeber (Carson), Jayanth Mathews, Chantelle Jenkins (Jared) and Michele Dykstra (Steven); his sister June Shuffler (Eglon); his aunt Hilda David; his uncle Kumar David; and his grandchildren, Ava, Isabella, Azriah, Xavier, Violetta and Sebastian.
