It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George William Young in Calgary, Alberta, born in Trail, British Columbia, who passed away on March 3, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Black Young and Myrtle Young; and his brothers, Grant Young and Thomas Young. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Young; his children, Kevin Young, Michael Young, Robyn Young (John), Cori Young, Heather Thompson Undershute (James) and Russ Thompson (Trish); his sisters, Laural Managre and Wendy Young; his grandchildren, Jason Kelley (Kati), Chelsea Copeland (Jakob), Michael Young Jr., Collin Young (Kyla), Scott Young (Kat), Koeben Jurykovski (Jen), Kiana Jurykovsky, Jason Undershute (Dana), Sarah Undershute Haylee Thompson (Nathan) and Sydney Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Bethany, Karsyn and Elodie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of George to the Firefighters Burn Treatment Society, Calgary Chapter.
