He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaiah Hunter and Lucille Lefthand; his siblings, Ted Powderface, Fred Powder, Johnson Powderface, Richard Lefthand, Joan Cecil and Mabel Lefthand; his son Terrance Clarke; and his granddaughter Tessa O'Brien.

He is survived by: his son Curtis Clarke (Melanie); his wife Jennie; his children, Ashley, Chris (Emie), Nikki (David), Geri and Tabatha (Japheth); and his sister Marlene. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many adopted children; and a large extended family.

Additional memorial trees will be planted through Canadian conservation and reforestation initiatives, as a result of memorial contributions.
