With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Giuseppina Emilia Franceschin (Calgary, Alberta), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her mother Mia'; her former husband Daniele; her son-in-law Kevin Whittier; her children, Antonella Whittier, Valerio (Irene) and Franco; her grandchildren, Stephanie Sakundiak (Avrey), Robert Franceschin (Pearl), Jordan Whittier and Eric Whittier; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Ella and Brayden Sakundiak; her brother-in-law Giuliano Franceschin (Benvenuta, family: Giovanna, Diego, James, Kimberly); her siblings, Maria, Teresa, GianCarla, Rosetta and Giuseppe; and her siblings-in-law, Gina, Italo, Elio and Paola.
She is survived by: her close friend Stella; and her fiancé Giovanni. She is also survived by Nonna, and she will tell Nonno about Nonna and the great-grandchildren.
A prayer was held on Tuesday, February 24th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Holy Name Parish (2223 34 St SW, Calgary, AB T3E2W2). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, February 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
