We announce the death of Gladys Doreen Keister (Calgary, Alberta), born in Polson, Montana, who passed away on June 22, 2026, at the age of 87. Gladys will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Gladys will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Gladys’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lyle Keister; her parents, Donald McGuire and Helen McGuire; and her siblings, Dennis McGuire and Carol Harbolt.
She is survived by: her children, Kelly (Howard Conner), Loren (Sherry Keister), Pamela (Paul Ciupa) and Dawn (Andrew Lemkes); and her sister-in-law Ilona McGuire. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Additional memorial trees will be planted through Canadian conservation and reforestation initiatives, as a result of memorial contributions.
