He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Richardson and Violet Richardson; and his son David. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his son Todd Richardson (Natasha); his grandchildren, Alex Richardson, Zoe Richardson and Julia Richardson (Austin Masse); his daughter Kari Meggs (Sean); his grandchildren, Bryanna Meggs (Matt Estabillo) and Denver Meggs; his daughter-in-law Treasure Richardson; his granddaughter Jade McKitrick (Connor); his great grandchild Xander; his grandson Kai MacMillen-Skead; and his sisters, Norma Lebsack and Ruby Blackwood (Gerry).
