He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sproat and Vera Sproat; his siblings, Lyle Sproat, Irene Nordin and Phyllis Nicholson; his siblings-in-law, Olive Sproat, Bill Nordin, Jack Alex and Maurice Nicholson; his nephew Jim Nordin; and his niece Cathy Alex.
He is survived by: his wife Anna; his sister Gwen Alex; his children, Loren Sproat (Charlene), Janet Sproat (Larry Oxtoby) and Joan Seibel (Dave); his grandchildren, Gregory Sproat (Ashley), Christopher Sproat (Anastasiya), Krista Seibel (Benjamin Chavez) and Josh Seibel (Janet); and his great grandchildren, Ronan, Carter Sproat, Aria, Jade Sproat, William, Iris Seibel and Thiago Chavez.
