She was predeceased by: her parents, Vera Margarite Smart (Fowler) and Frank Leroy Smart; her brothers, Jim and Paul Smart; and her brother-in-law Frank Raddatz.

She is survived by: her daughter Corinne Ostapiw; her son-in-law Michael; her grandchildren, Rayna and Kellen; her sisters, Patti Bray, Debi Raddatz and Bev Tremblay; and her extended family, Patti, Fred, Hilary, Michael, Debi, Stephanie, Rianna, Mark, Bev, Ryan and Tina. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
