He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his parents, Percy Belot and Agnes Belot; and his siblings, Frances White (Richard), Robert (Rose) and Donald (Audrey).

He is survived by: his children, Todd Belot (Bets), Dan Belot (Desirée) and Mary Lou Ediger (John); his grandchildren, Madison Belot, Taylor, Mitch Belot (Justine), Aaron Belot (Bre), Genevieve Trenke (Ralph), Connor Willumsen (Rim), Lilly Morden (Derek), Rosalyn Ediger and Diana Beier (Mike); his great grandchildren, Julien, Marielle Trenke, Marcheline and Amelie Morden; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Westerman (Jim) and Janet McLeod (Barry). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
