It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Grace Elizabeth Wallace of Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on February 24, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Neil Wallace; her birth parents, Niels and Valborg Nielsen; her adoptive parents, William Mortensen and Marie Mortensen; her siblings, Gordon Nielsen (Sophie), Elsie Ostensen (Ole), Eric Nielsen (Ethel), William Mortensen (Deanna) and Donald Mortensen; her parents-in-law, John and Mary Wallace; and her sisters-in-law, Mary MacKay (George) and Kathleen Nowak (Julian).
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Dornan (Wayne) and Keith Wallace (Kim); her grandchildren, Brett, Shawn Dornan, Breanna, Emily and Jillian Wallace; and her sisters-in-law, Fran Mortensen and Fay Mortensen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Advent Lutheran Church (11 Scenic Acres Gate NW, Calgary, AB T3L1E4). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4).
