Greg Benetton Obituary
Greg (Benj) Benetton, beloved husband of Mrs. Laura Benetton of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the age of 64 years.
He was the loving father of Jen Schmitz and Kyle Brouwer of Calgary and Mike Benetton of Calgary. Greg will also be dearly missed by his 3 grandchildren, Mason, Taryn and Gage. Greg will also be lovingly remembered by Gabriella Lorincz (Mother) Charlene and Ryan Magnussen (Sister in law), Verna Witt (Mother in Law) their children Darcy and Jess Magnussen, Paola Zanini (Aunt), (Callum and Luke) and Kari Magnussen, Dave Benetton (Brother), Darrin and Lisa Witt (Brother in Law) their child Adriana. Michele and Steve Zanini (children: Sarah and Nick, Sam and Andrew); Danny and Jolynne Zanini (Children: Billie and Brady); Susy and Dewaine Kearney; and Lorrie and Rick Iantaffi (Children: Amanda and Katrina). He was predeceased by: George Benetton (Father), Arthur and Shirley Iantaffi (Aunt and Uncle), Joe Lorincz (Step-Father), (child) Marcy Iantaffi, Giovanni Zanini (Uncle), Robyn Aerosmith (Step Brother), Jerome Witt (Father-in-law).
Greg led a wonderful life full of love and accomplishments. He touched many lives. Beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. A true family man. Papa to his grandchildren filling his heart with love. Welder by trade, talented handyman building and fixing almost anything with amazing vision. Teaching those interested along the way. Always willing to help or lend a hand, the man to call. He loved to golf and travel. He touched so many lives, a life lived well with many wonderful memories for all. He will truly be missed.
Funeral Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Chapel, 1605 – 100 Street S.E., Calgary) on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
