He was predeceased by: his daughter Pritam Kaur Sekhon; his siblings, Gurbachan Singh Rai, Sardip Singh Rai, Dalip Singh Rai and Gurcharan Kaur; and his grandson Gurvir Singh Sidhu.

He is survived by: his wife Ajit Kaur of Calgary; his daughter-in-law Sharnjit Kaur Rai; his daughter Suritam Kaur Sidhu; his sons-in-law, Narinderpal Singh Sidhu and Kulwant Singh Sekhon; his sister Dalip Kaur; his grandson Hardeep Singh Rai; his granddaughter-in-law Brandi Nicole Rai; his granddaughter Amrit Kaur Nannan; his grandson-in-law Mikkel Singh Nannan; his grandson Jasjeet Singh Rai; his granddaughter-in-law Mona Rai; his grandson Navdeep Singh Sekhon; his granddaughter-in-law Amandeep Kaur Sekhon; his grandchildren, Jagdeep Kaur Sekhon, Avneet Kaur Sidhu, Armaani Kaur Sidhu, Maher Singh Sidhu, Amarjot Singh Rai and Dilpreet Kaur Rai; and his great grandchildren, Eli Chase Rai, Symrin Kaur Rai, Darshan Singh Rai, Eva Grace Rai, Arjun Kaur Rai, Harjeevan Kaur Nannan, Himmat Singh Nannan, Sanya Rai, Maya Kaur Sekhon, Jay Singh Sekhon and Owen Singh Sekhon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. with Covid protocols in place, masking and social distancing, up to 20 person limit per time slot.
