With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Friesen of Calgary, Alberta, born in Laird, Saskatchewan, who passed away on October 14, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Cornelius Friesen; her parents, Jacob Harder and Maria Harder; and her siblings, Johann, Henry, Maria, Susan, Nettie and Jacob Harder (Nettie).
She is survived by: her children, Calvin Friesen (Marilyn Turnbull) and Jennifer Friesen; her grandchildren, Keegan, Austyn, Constance, Samantha, Jessica, Liam, Fredryck, Kade and Jake; her daughter-in-law June Friesen; her stepgrandchildren, Myranda Walknew (Richard) and Joseph Clark (Elizabeth); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Oceanne and River; and her siblings, Abraham Harder (Sara), Margaret Derkson, Anne Braun (John), Justina Ginther (Pete), Gertrude Klassen, Eva Giesbrecht (Pete), Nora Haliday (Bob) and Sara Popoff (Tom).
