He is survived by: his wife Julia Heaney-Schroeder; his daughters, Donna and Shelley (Don); and his grandchildren, Nicole (Brett) and Conner. He is also survived by children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He spent eleven years lovingly caring for Joyce following her Alzheimer's diagnosis.
