She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Stanley Dunford of Calgary, AB; and her siblings, Connie, Sandy and Dick. She is survived by: her sons, Thomas (Mimi), Robert (Laura) and Wayne (Marni). She is also survived by four granddaughters, and three great-grandsons.

“Our sincere condolences on the passing of our dear friend and neighbor of almost 30 years. We fondly remember all the times we were out shoveling snow early in the morning before the sun was up and there was Ida in her housecoat without a hat or gloves, shovel in hand and a big cheerful wave to us each time. Sometimes we'd run across the street and help her shovel so she wouldn't get so cold but she didn't seem to mind. Having coffee and long talks with Ida and a splash of Bailey's. Doug&Kevin”
