She was predeceased by: her husband Heinrich; and her parents, Rebecca Schweikert and Samuel Strohschein. She is survived by: her sisters, Alma Renz of Courtney, BC, Elfriede Holtkamp of Calgary and Hannelore Ponto of Calgary; her sons, Wilfried (Norene) of Darwin and Heinjo (Janet) of Sundre; her grandchildren, Jason (Catherine), Ben (Dayla), Mark, Kiana (Hossein), Grant and Wade (Jill); and her great grandchildren, Chelsea, Emily, Aiden and Serena.
