He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Schmit and Bernard Schmit; his sisters, Shirley and Teresa; his nephew David Scott; and his brother Tom.
He is survived by: his wife Geri; his sister Mary Margaret Plank (Dede); and his sibling's children, Amy Plank, Tomasine Scott, Jim Plank and Daniel Scott.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Gerard's Church (8944 Elbow Dr SW, Calgary, AB T2V1L2).
