He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Chris Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Mark Shearer, Susan Thompson and Holly Kattler (Layn Kattler); the mother of his children Toni Shearer; his granddaughters, Dr. Ellen Thompson (Aleks Poldma), Natalie Thompson, Lara Kattler (Paolo Majerano) and Tia Kattler; and his sibling's children, Brad Bechtel (Joanne), Jane Robb (Scott) and David Bechtel (Wendy).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Plattsville Heritage Society would be appreciated by the family.
