James Spiropoulos Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Spiropoulos (Calgary, Alberta), who passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Yiannis, Constandinos and Christina. He is survived by: his wife Evangeli; his children, Angelina, Demetry (Georgia) and Evangelos (Julianna); his grandchildren, Genya (Brendan), Smaragda (Brendan), Athina (Andrew), Sophia, James and John; his great grandchildren, Ella and Enza; and his sister Zoe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1 Tamarac Crescent SW, Calgary, AB T3C3B7). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at the Eden Brook Memorial Gardens (24223 Township Rd 242, Calgary, AB T3Z3K2).
