He was predeceased by: his parents, Jan Boersma and Aaffien Boersma; his wife An Boersma; and his brother Rommie Boersma. He is survived by: his children, Jouktje Reynolds (Darcy), John Boersma (Vivian), Evelyn Boersma (Carlo) and Janette Hutt (Dave); his grandchildren, Crystal (Brandon), Eddy (Alicia), Demi (Kody), Taya (Aaron), Travis, Teresa (Jason), Chris, Mike and Tamara (Brad); and his siblings, Hendrikje, Hendrik Jan (Kathleen), Juko (Mary) and Leonardus (Mary). He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
